SPREC

The Standard Preanalytical Code for Biospecimens (SPREC) is a seven-digit code used to represent the treatment of a sample before it is stored in a biobank. Shelf life, centrifugation time and intervals at a certain temperature, tissue sampling procedure are all important factors determining the quality of biosamples, which in turn is of great importance for the informative value of the research results obtained. The SREC coding is implemented in CentraXX.
