Biobank Marburg implements CENTRAXX (CBB)

The department of medicine at the Philipps-University in Marburg has decided to use the software solution CENTRAXX BIOBANKING (CBB) for its department of biobanking. The biobank in Marburg is being run in cooperation with the UKGM GmbH. With the establishment of CentraXX at the Marburg biobank the first university clinic under private governance has chosen a solution by Kairos GmbH.

The UKGM GmbH is a merger of the university clinics Giessen and Marburg, whose main shareholder is the Rhoen-Klinikum AG.

The award for CentraXX was granted in a comprehensive market research procedure, for which the system’s strengths in sample management and its deep integration of laboratory technical methods played a substantial role.

Crucial in the end were the experience and the know-how that KAIROS GmbH puts into the development of its software, which combines clinical data with sample data, always putting the patient/donor in the main focus, while upholding the strict data protection regulations.

Momentarily KAIROS develops CENTRAXX at its sites in Bochum and Berlin.
