KAIROS GmbH supports the foundation “German Children’s Cancer Aid”

Winnings from Challenge@Translate will be handed over to the “German Children’s Cancer Aid”

Bochum – KAIROS GmbH wins Challenge@Translate Pitch Challenge hosted by the Berlin Institute of Health and donates winnings to the “German Children’s Cancer Aid” foundation of the German Cancer Aid.

The Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) has been striving for years to promote the translation of medical research in order to develop effective therapies and innovative diagnostic methods for the individual prevention and treatment of patients. Therefore, the BIH also hosted “Challenge@Translate” in 2021. In this exciting format, participants had to explain the translation of research results into medical practice as informatively as possible and in 90-second pitch videos. From the three finalists, KAIROS GmbH was ultimately chosen as the winner of the pitch competition with its explanation of the SepsisDataNet.NRW project. 

KAIROS GmbH has chosen to donate the prize of 1000 euros to the “German Children’s Cancer Aid” foundation of the German Cancer Aid which promotes clinical research in pediatric oncology and supports the nationwide establishment and expansion of children’s cancer centers. The German Cancer Aid proudly announced its participation in the abolition of emergencies in children’s cancer centers, the support of the all-important basic research on cancer in children and the further development of oncological treatment formats. The support of the German Children’s Cancer Aid is close to the heart of KAIROS and has previously supported the foundation with past fundraising campaigns.
