custom-tailored for general and
specialty hospitals
NOW IS THE TIME. With immediate effect, all providers in the German hospital sector can expand their existing IT architecture with little effort so that doctors can now search and find all (research-relevant) information on patients on an ad hoc, IT-based basis. This is made possible by the use of the compact KAIROS product solution „CentraXX BoXX“.
CentraXX BoXX is the result of many years of development experience and use of the CentraXX product family in top medical research. The hospital can access all HL7 messages and perform its own searches within the stored HL7 messages. One mouse click is enough to find out which patients have or have had which diseases, diagnoses, procedures or laboratory values. By using the CentraXX reporting engine, they can create patient-related statistics at any time and communicate the data prepared in this way as required. Beyond viewing the entire patient file information, CentraXX BoXX makes it possible to compare this information with other patients.
This file information can be supplemented by the attachment of freely created, individual forms or important patient-related files. Structured data that can be exported can be transferred to CentraXX via XML and after appropriate transformation, they can also be made usable in the system. This also applies to special documentation that has been entered in Excel tables or proprietary developments that are difficult to maintain and can actually no longer be found. In conjunction with the CentraXX Patient App, the clinic is enabled to transmit the personal data directly to the respective patient. In the hospital itself, this can also be done by using kiosk systems.
The functionalities of the CentraXX-BoXX are tailored exactly to the requirements of medical providers. As a result, clinics today benefit both functionally and in terms of price from the experience of many years of development work in the CentraXX product family and the growing structural expansion of the system.
By using an installer the CentraXX BoXX is installed independently or via remote maintenance e.g. on virtual systems of the clinic. It consists of an HL7 listener, a CentraXX Clinical Datawarehouse, a research file, a comprehensive XML interface, and an interface to the open source system BIRT, which offers improved reporting. The CentraXX BoXX is compatible with all CentraXX basic and system solutions. The distribution of CentraXX is steadily increasing in Germany. The system is currently used by 30 university clinics, 3 German Centers for Health Research, the Helmholtz Association and the NAKO Health Study. Technically, it is also possible to network individual sites or system networks, which simplifies or often makes participation in (large) consortium projects possible in the first place. This is particularly demanded by the Medical Informatics Initiative – KAIROS is a partner of the DIFUTURE consortium.
