1st MDR-Workshop offers KAIROS a Lively Exchange of Experience in a Full House.

As industry partner of the DIFUTURE consortium, KAIROS GmbH invited all interested in Meta Data Repositories (MDR) to an open workshop on Thursday, 21 June 2018. The interest in this central topic and the response to the announcement of this date were already so great that the event was moved from the originally planned location – the offices of KAIROS Berlin – to the neighbouring conference room of TMF (Technologie- und Methodenplattform für die vernetzte medizinische Forschung e.V.).

Here, too, every available space was occupied when the speakers from all four consortia funded by the BMBF’s Medical Informatics Initiative (DIFUTURE, HiGHmed, MIRACUM, SMITH) presented the respective MDR concepts, project experiences and development status to date.

As host, KAIROS also offered a particularly detailed and in-depth insight into the current CentraXX MDR.

Throughout the day, the participants repeatedly took the opportunity to exchange ideas and offer constructive suggestions for standardization options, as well as to answer numerous questions. In the final discussion it quickly became clear that further meetings of this kind were much desired and even necessary in the sense of further networking and standardizing solutions. KAIROS will soon make a further contribution by organising a 2nd KAIROS MDR workshop.
